Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (PAS)” and “Liability Insurance coupled with PAS”

It is important to prepare for unexpected accidents for safe and successful student life. Kyushu University strongly recommends new students to buy relatively inexpensive insurance below at the time of enrollment to prepare for the case of suffering physical injury or the liability for damage compensation.

This is to inform you that the responsibilities related to the insurance

（e.g. offering insurance, distributing of handbook for students applied in advance, confirming Subscription Status, insurance claim, issuing subscription certificate）will be changed as below from March 1st,2019 due to outsourcing of Personal Accident Insurance for Student Pursuing Education and Research (“GAKKENSAI”) and liability Insurance coupled with “Gakkensai (“Futaibaiseki) to CO-OP.

■　Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (PAS)”（Gakkensai）

This insurance will provide compensation for legal damages incurred due to injuries by students participating in the regular curriculum domestically and abroad, (in experiments and training) in various extra-curricular activities, university events, medical-related practice and travel to and from the above.

■ Liability insurance coupled with “Gakkennsai”（Futaibaiseki）

This insurance will provide compensation for legal damages incurred due to injuries to others or damage to the property of others by students participating in the regular curriculum domestically and abroad, ( in experiments and training,) in various extra-curricular activities (including internships and volunteer activities),? university events, ?medical-related practice and travel to and from above.

?? In order to apply to this insurance, “Gakkensai”must be purchased.

●　Scope of activities
