Researchers Support Program

The University operates a variety of researcher support systems.
Among them is the intramural research support system, which provides research support programs to meet a wide range of research needs and supports free and vigorous research.

  Title Support contents
Life Event Support Support for researchers who have interrupted their research due to maternity or childcare leave to provide financial support to restart their research activities toward them to return to their research smoothly.
Support for researchers who are recognized as having difficulty securing their research time due to personal circumstances such as childbirth, childcare, or nursing care to provides financial support towards hiring research assistants. The goal of this initiative is to prevent any interruptions to their research activities.
International Research Exchange Support Support for talented young researchers to provide the opportunity to conduct research at outstanding research institutions abroad, helping them to advance their research, form international networks and become part of prominent academic communities in their respective fields that will benefit them in their future careers.
*This program is being implemented as a project for fostering young researchers at the Institute for Advanced Study.
Support mainly for young researchers to exchange and form new research and educational networks with researchers at Seoul National University or National Taiwan University.
Support for young researchers, female researchers, and foreign researchers for the cost of presenting their research results at international conferences, etc.
Academic Papers Support Support for researchers and graduate students with workshops writing and publication strategies, a question-and-answer session and hands-on exercises by experienced, dedicated instructors from Nature.
*This workshop will be held jointly with KOOU (Kyushu-Okinawa Open University)
Support for young researchers, female researchers, and foreign researchers for the cost of reviewing papers in foreign languages.
Support for publication fees and other expenses for Top 10% journal articles for young researchers.

Research Fund Obtaining Support Support for young researchers who were not rewarded for KAKENHI in the previous year and who have no experience as a principal investigator, it provides integrated support in the form of financial support and a ¡°Support Programs for Research Funding and Grants¡± to help them build up their research track record.
* The ¡°KAKENHI¡± referred to in this program excludes the following: Grant-in-Aid for Research Activity Start-up, Encouragement of Scientists, Publication of Scientific Research Results, and JSPS Fellows.
Interdisciplinary Research Support Support for research groups led by researchers in the humanities and social sciences with financial support to create new value through "integrated knowledge" and to promote transdisciplinary research.
