　On July 3rd, 2012, Kyushu University presented a letter of appreciation to the Korea Foundation, which has made great contributions to Korean studies at Kyushu University.
　The Korea Foundation has long expressed a deep understanding of the education and research activities at Kyushu University, and extended support for promoting the university’s academic program by extending financial support for scholarships and providing significant research grants to help develop capable personnel who will be able to contribute to the Japan-Korea relationship and to East Asia as a whole.
　Director Matsubara of the Research Center for Korean Studies also presented a letter of appreciation to President Kim Woosang of the Korea Foundation.
