Two Kyushu University Professors have been named in this year's Highly Cited Researchers list, released by Clarivate's Web of Science Group.

The Highly Cited Researchers list is compiled annually by the global information services company Clarivate Analytics based on analysis of its own database for tracking trends in academic papers, during the last decade.

For the 2020 Highly Cited Researchers analysis, the papers surveyed were the most recent papers available—those published and cited during 2009–2019 and ranked in the top 1% by citations for their field and year.
