Regarding New Influenza Group Infections

? Four members of our badminton club presented fever and other flu-like symptoms, and were diagnosed as having the new influenza at hospital examinations. These students are currently being treated at home.

? The university has ordered the club to have its members to closely monitor their health as well as to refrain from going out whenever possible. If they cannot avoid going out, they are required to take precautions, such as wearing a mask, to reduce the risk of spreading the infection.

??If any person presents fever or other symptoms during any extra-curricular activity, please make sure to report this to the staff in charge of the department to which he or she belongs.

? Those who plan to participate hereafter in sporting events or other extra-curricular activities involving groups are requested to take preventive measures against infection.
